An Indian staple food, Organic Bengal Gram Split (Cicer arietinum), the lentils are yellow coloured and are flat on one side and rounded on the other. The lentil is normally harvested from November to February and contains a high amount of nutritional content. It has a rich taste and aroma; it is filling, wholesome and easy to digest. Also known as Chana Dal and Garbanzo Beans, it is mostly cultivated in India. It is powdered to make chickpea flour or bengal gram flour.
