Organic Black Pepper( Piper Nigrum) is often referred to as “King of spice.” It originated in South India, present day Kerala but is also cultivated in other tropical countries. Black Pepper has a sharp, penetrating aroma and a characteristic woody, piney flavor. It is hot and biting to taste. Black pepper has demonstrated impressive antioxidant and antibacterial effects. It is used in garnishing and seasoning all over the globe. Also known as Kali Mirchi in Hindi, it has been used in Indian cooking since at least 2000 BCE. It is from January to Mid-March and then again from November to December.
