Organic Black Pepper (Piper Nigrum) is a spice used for seasoning food made from dried peppercorn and is often referred to as “King of spice.” Black Pepper has a sharp, penetrating aroma and a characteristic woody, piney flavor. It is hot and biting to taste. Also known as Kali Mirchi in Hindi, it has been used in Indian cooking since at least 2000 BCE. It originally belongs to South India but is cultivated in other tropical countries as well.
