Organic Buckwheat

Organic Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum) is a pseudo cereal. They are consumed as cereal grains but don’t grow on grasses. Also known as Kuttu in India, it is a nutrient-packed, gluten-free seed consumed in high amounts in Asian countries for centuries. The kernels of the triangular-shaped seeds are enclosed by a tough dark brown or gray rind. Buckwheat is one of the most important alternative crops and a valuable raw material for functional foods production since it is rich in essential amino acids, fatty acids and vitamins, and it is also a good source of minerals.
