Organic Fennel – Whole

Organic Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) is a perennial herb and is indigenous to the shores of the Mediterranean. It is used as a spice as it is very flavourful and aromatic. It is also used widely as a mouth freshener. It is normally harvested from February to mid-March and is called Saunf in Hindi. Fennel is crunchy and slightly sweet and its taste is reminiscent of licorice and anise. They are also used for flavouring soups, meat dishes, sauces, pastries, confectionaries and liquors.
