Organic Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) is a tree native to southern Asia and India. Haritaki, known by the vernacular names Harad in Hindi and Indian hog plum in English is one of the three rejuvenating herbs that constitute the miraculous Triphala formulation. The dried fruit of the tree has a long history of use in Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India. Sometimes referred to as “chebulic myrobalan,” it is also coined as the “king of herbs” by many ayurvedic healers. It is harvested mainly in the months of May and June.
